Armenian defence minister meets new Russian military commander

YEREVAN
The chief of staff of the North Caucasus Military District, Lt-Gen
Aleksandr Postnikov-Streltsov, today introduced the new commander of
the Group of Russian Troops in the Transcaucasus [GRTT], Maj-Gen
Nikolay Bespalov, to Armenian Defence Minister Serzh Sarkisyan.
Sarkisyan thanked the former commander of the GRTT, Aleksandr
Studenkin, for his diligent service, the press secretary of the
Armenian Defence Ministry, Seyran Shakhsuvaryan, reported.
The Armenian defence minister and the chief of staff of the North
Caucasus Military District discussed issues pertaining to
Armenian-Russian military cooperation, which, Sarkisyan said, is
developing “well and dynamically”.
