ARMRUSGASPROM TO START CONSTRUCTION OF MEGHRI-KAJARAN SECTION OF
IRAN-ARMENIA GAS PIPELINE IN MID APRIL

YEREVAN, MARCH 11, NOYAN TAPAN. ArmRusgasprom will start the
construction of Meghri-Kajaran section of the Iran-Armenia gas
pipeleine in mid April. The director general of the company Karen
Karapetian stated at the March 11 press conference that at present,
negotiations are being conducted with the Iranian side, after which
the exact amounts of the investments to be made will be determined.
According to K. Karapetian, recently ArnRusgasprom signed an
agreement on receiving credit. whose amount he did not mention,
with the Export-Import Bank (Iran).
