COMMANDER OF MILITARIZED GROUPING “NATIONAL ARMY OF ARMENIA,”
45-YEAR-OLD RAZMIK VASILYAN DIED ON MARCH 14.
YEREVAN, MARCH 16. ARMINFO. Commander of Militarized Grouping
“National Army of Armenia,” 45-year-old Razmik Vasilyan died on March
14.
The press-service of the Armenian Defense Ministry informs ARMINFO
that Vasilyan was among the people who being full of ideas of Garegin
Nzhdeh considered immediate establishment of National Army the only
way of implementation of the program of liberation struggle. In the
spring of 1989 they established the grouping “National Army of
Armenia.” Vasilyan not only participated in the military actions, but
also used his command abilities to settle and prevent provocations.
Being Commander, he displayed himself as a private, being respected by
both the grouping members and the residents of the populated areas. He
remained devoted to his oath to continue serving to the Fatherland in
the structures of the Armenian Defense Ministry. Vasilyan was married
and had three children.
The civil funeral will take place today at 18:00 in the following
address: Tbilisi highway 16. The farewell ceremony will take place
tomorrow at 12:00- 14:00 in the House of Culture of Kanaz, the same
day at 15:00 the funerals will take place in the memorial complex of
felled heroes Yerablur.
