NA COMMITTEE ON STATE AND LEGAL AFFAIRS POSTPONES DISCUSSION OF DRAFTS OF AMENDMENTS TO ELECTORAL CODE
YEREVAN, APRIL 8, NOYAN TAPAN. The NA Standing Committee on State
and Legal Affairs envasiged to discuss two drafts on amendments
and additions to the Electoral Code at the April 8 sitting, but the
discussion was postponed. It was cause by the fact that the joint
draft of a number of NA political forces was not completed. Conclusion
of the Venice Commission of the Council of Europe on a number of
disputable issues, particularly concerning the order of formation of
the Electoral Commissions is also expected till April 11. According
to the preliminary arrangement, the drafts will be discussed at
the sitting of the Committee to be convened at 10:00, on April 11,
before the NA regular four-day sessions.
