ARMENIA- MEMBER OF UN COMMISSIONS
During the session of the UN Economic and Social Council in New York the
Republic of Armenia was elected member of the UN Commission on crime
prevention and criminal justice as well as was re-elected member of
Committee on Programs and Coordination for 2006-2008.
The UN Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice is the major body
to deal with organized crime, corruption, war on terror and trafficking.
The Committee on Programs and Coordination is the principal subsidiary body
to the UN General Assembly and the UN Economic and Social Council on the
issues of program planning or coordination.
