QARABAQ LIBERATION ORGANIZATION HELD SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE

Beginning from 2001 Qarabaq Liberation Organization holds annual
scientific-practical conference on the eve of Republican Day dedicated
to Daqliq Qarabaq problem and ways of regulation this conflict. A book
“Qarabaq yesterday, today and tomorrow”- a collection of thesis about
Daqliq Qarabaq was presented at the fourth conference. Besides authors
of these articles, representatives of opposition parties and foreign
embassies took part in the meeting. Speaking about the aims of this
scientific-practical conference, Akif Naghi, head of Qarabaq Liberation
Organization said: We want each member of Azerbaijan society to point
out his opinion on Daqliq Qarabaq, on the ways of settlement of the
conflict. We want to present summarized opinion at the conference. We
should get results from our meetings. Tahir Kerimli, chairman of Unity
party, accused the government of violation articles of Azerbaijani
Constitution:Article 111 of Azerbaijani constitution reads that in
the case of a part of Azerbaijani territory is occupied, martial law
is declared in this part or in the whole country. Passive position of
OSCE Minsk group co-chairmen on settlement of Daqliq Qarabaq conflict
was discussed in the meeting as well. Participants of the conference
consider no OSCE Minsk group Co-chairmen State is interested in quick
solution of Daqliq Qarabaq conflict in favour of Azerbaijan.
