DOCUMENT ADOPTED AFTER PRAGUE PROCESS TO BE SUBMITTED TO SIDES IN AUGUST

Yuri Merzliakov, Russian co-chair of the OSCE Minsk group, told Regnum
agency that the settlement document created as a result of Prague Process
will be submitted to the sides on August 26. The next meeting between
presidents Robert Kocharian and Ilham Aliyev is envisaged to take place on
that day within the framework of the CIS unofficial summit in Kazan, Russia.
Merzliakov didn’t go into the details of the document. Earlier, RA president
stated that the high-level Armenian-Azeri meetings do not inspire with much
optimism. “The positions of the sides essentially differ. We believe that
the return to the former status of Nagorno Karabakh can’t merely happen,”
Robert Kocharian said. On his turn, Ilham Aliyev said the very fact of
negotiating with the Armenian side is a concession itself made by Baku.
