Baku, July 18, AssA-Irada — Stability in the Caucasus is out of
the question unless Armenia withdraws from the occupied areas of
Azerbaijan, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said in
a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Sochi, Russia
on Monday.

Erdogan condemned Armenia’s policy of aggression against Azerbaijan
and termed official Yerevan’s false ‘genocide’ claims as groundless.

Touching upon economic ties between his country and Russia, the Turkish
Prime Minister said the trade turnover between the two countries, which
currently amounts to $10 billion, should be brought to $25 billion.

Speaking to journalists prior to leaving for Russia on Sunday, Erdogan
expressed his gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev for keeping his
promise to establish relations with the Turkish Republic of Northern
Cyprus.*
