PREMIER OF AZERBAIJAN RECEIVES CHIEF-OF-STAFF OF THE QATARI ARMED
FORCES

On 25th July, Prime Minister of the Azerbaijan Republic Artur
Rasizade received chief-of-staff of the Qatari armed forces,
colonel-general Hamad Bin Ali Al-Attiyah, now visiting the country.
In the meeting passed in a friendly atmosphere, the sides with great
pleasure underlined growing development of relations between
Azerbaijan and Qatar after the official visit of the Head of the
Azerbaijan State to Qatar last year. Also was stressed necessity for
expansion of opportunities to strengthen political, economic and
cultural links between two countries, as well as military
cooperation. It was noted that the State of Qatar constantly supports
fair cause of Azerbaijan on all international events and would
further render assistance in fair solution of the Nagorno Karabakh
conflict. Further, the interlocutors stressed urgency of
establishment of the business links between businessmen of Azerbaijan
and Qatar, one of the rich and stable countries of Persian Gulf.
There are great potential to invest in Azerbaijan economy, the sides
emphasized.
In the meeting, also were touched a number of other issues of mutual
interest.
Ambassador of Azerbaijan to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and to the
State of Qatar Elman Arasli took part in the meeting.
