The session of the Armenian-Greek inter governmental Committee which
convened today in Yerevan is the forth. The Armenian co-chair of
the Armenian-Greek inter governmental Committee is the Minister of
Agriculture David Loqyan. The Greek co-chair of the Committee is the
deputy Foreign Minister of the country Evripidis Stilianidis.

According to the latter, the political cooperation of the two countries
is on a high level whereas the economic cooperation is still lacking
behind. He promised on behalf of his country to make investments in
Armenia and to show the way to Armenia to great Greek companies. He
said that if the government supports the company, the cooperation
with the Greek businessmen can be excellent.

The executive director of the Armenian-Greek company “ArmenTel” Vasilis
Fetsis also participated in the session. The stockholders of “ArmenTel”
are the RA Government and the Greek company “OTE”. Mr. Fetsis’s name
was not mentioned in the list of the delegation members. Neither was
in mentioned in the list of the guests, and there was no badge for
him on the table.

The unique example of the cooperation between a Greek company and
the RA Government for our citizens is “ArmenTel”.

About 10 years ago the company took up the business of updating the
telecommunication field of our country.

But up to now there are a number of problems between “ArmenTel” and
the RA Government, including court cases and administrative fines of
the company by the RA Economic Competition Defense State Committee.

From: Emil Lazarian | Ararat NewsPress

Emil Lazarian: “I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
