LITHUANIAN PRESIDENT PAYING OFFICIAL VISIT TO ARMENIA

Lithuanian President Valdas Adamkus left for a two-day official visit
to Armenia on Tuesday morning.
During the visit, Adamkus is scheduled to meet with Armenian President
Robert Kocharian, Prime Minister Andranik Margarian, the Lithuanian
presidential press service said.
According to the press release, the meetings are planned to focus
on prospects of bilateral relations, regional cooperation, Armenia’s
reforms and determination to achieve its Euro-Atlantic goals.
A bilateral agreement on the promotion of investments and mutual
protection will also be signed during the visit.
The agenda for Tuesday includes a meeting with National Assembly
Vice-Chairman Tigran Toroyanu and a visit to the museum of artist
Sergey Parayanov.
On Wednesday, Adamkus will meet with Catholicos of All Armenians H.
H. Karegin II, visit the Yerevan State University’s Institute of
Ancient Manuscripts, the Memorial of Genocide Victims, the Vault of
Treasuries and the Central Cathedral.
The president-led delegation is expected back in Vilnius on Wednesday
evening.
