CONTEST ON BEST COVERAGE OF ISSUES OF CITY’S IMPACT ON ENVIRONMENT TO BE ANNOUNCED IN ARMENIA

YEREVAN, May 18. /ARKA/. The OSCE Yerevan Office in association
with the Public Environmental Information Center (Orchus Center)
announce a contest on the best coverage of issues of impacts by a
city’s modernization processes on environment. The OSCE Yerevan Office
reported that the contest will deal with coverage against destruction
of trees and parks, air and water pollution. According to the press
release, participation in the contest requires those coverages that
have not participated in OSCE-organized contests.
Duration of a film for TV reporters should not exceed 20min, and for
print mass media materials should not contain over 1000 words.
Contest winners from each of the categories will be awarded money
prizes: EUR 400 – for the first winner, EUR 300 – for the second
winner and EUR 200 – for the third winner. Incentive and special
prizes will be also included during prize giving.
In order to participate in the contest one should submit his or her
works until October 10, 2006. Awarding of prizes will be held in
November.
