Moscow. A delegation of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church, headed by
Bishop Kiril, which takes part in the First World Summit of Religious
Leaders in Moscow, called for justice for the Bulgarian medics in
Libya. The Bulgarian Orthodox representatives delivered a message
by the head of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church, Patriarch Maxim,
who expresses gratitude for the support of many Orthodox churches,
of Catholic, Muslim, public organizations and scientific figures,
who believe that the Bulgarian nurses are innocent.

"Is it possible that the Bulgarians, who had rescued 50,000 Jews and
80,000 Armenians from genocide, could be involved in what they were
accused of? We call on all religious leaders to support the Bulgarian
Church and for the sake of justice, to defend the Bulgarian nurses
in Libya", Patriarch Maxim said in his message, BNR reported.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
