/PanARMENIAN.Net/ October 1, 2006 the Armenian Nuclear Power Plant
will be stopped for refueling, ANPP Director General Gagik Markosyan
said. In his words, within some 45 days a part of the equipment will
be repaired and metal condition will be checked.

The ANPP will be as usual filled up with the fuel supplied by
Russia. At that the price has not changed. "During 45 days 6 urgent
measures for raising the safety of the Nuclear Power Plant will be
carried out jointly with EU Technical Assistance Program TACIS and
the U.S. Energy Department," Markosyan said, reported Novosti-Armenia.

Emil Lazarian: “I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
