ILHAM ALIYEV: THERE HAS NEVER AND COULD NOT BEEN ANY GENOCIDE OF ARMENIANS
Yerevan, July 11. ArmInfo. Armenia is educating its young generation
in the spirit of enmity, says Ilham Aliyev, President of Azerbaijan,
in an interview with the Cumhurriet.
He says Armenians make claims to Turkey "basing on lie, slander, they
try to achieve recognition of the invented ‘genocide’ by Europe. It
testifies that Armenians have taken a bellicose position. First
of all, there has been no genocide. It was they who were killing
Turks, Azerbaijanis for all times." He brings the example of European
states that had repeatedly fought against each other, but established
relations later.
Repeating the confirmation by the newspaper’s correspondent
that "Armenians live in the past" Aliyev added "that is why they
cannot develop" (hereby he confirmed the existence of this past –
ed. ). As regards the possible recognition of Armenian Genocide by
the international community, Ilham Aliyev urged his Turkish comrades
to fight against it like they do in Azerbaijan. "It is necessary to
expose the Armenian false propaganda and inform the international
community of the reality," he said.
