TURKISH MP: "TURKEY CANNOT POSSIBLY BUILD DIPLOMATIC RELATIONS WITH ARMENIA NOW"

"The exclusion of Turkish candidates from the list for their rejecting
false "Armenian genocide" in the Netherlands have nothing to do with
democracy even with humanness," Turkish parliamentarian from ANAP
party, member of foreign relations commission Zubeyir Amber told.
He said such decisions by Europe which is trying to dictate principle
of freedom of thinking to Turkey are surprising.
"I have sent an inquiry to Foreign Minister Abdullah Gul. But, I have
not received a response as he was abroad."
Mr.Amber also commented on European Parliament’s demanding Turkey to
restore diplomatic relations with Armenia, APA reports.
"European Parliament’s decisions are not compulsory for us. Even
if they were compulsory, I think Turkey cannot possibly establish
diplomatic relations with Armenia now. Armenia makes groundless
territorial claims against Turkey. On the other hand, it has occupied
our brother Azerbaijan’s territories leading more than one million
people displaced. So, how logical it is to build diplomatic relations
with Armenia?" the parliamentarian stressed.
