President of Georgia Michael Sahakashvili ordered to create new energy
sources in the country in order not to depend on imported energy.
Prime Minister of the country Zurab Noghaideli informed today that two
new hydroelectric power stations are to be constructed in Paravani
and Gudauri. "I think in the present circumstances our answer to
the raise of the price of the Russian gas will be the creation of
alternative sources of energy", the Prime Minister said.
Let us remind you that "Gasprom" has decided to make the price of the
gas sent toe Georgia 230 USD for 1000 cubic meters instead of 110 USD.
