ARMENIA VOTES AGAINST RESOLUTION ON HUMAN RIGHTS IN IRAN

The Republic of Armenia has voted against the US,
Canada and the EU resolution that condemns the
violations of human rights in Iran. Vladimir
Karapetian, Spokesman of RA Foreign Ministry, said
that on Tuesday, Armenia voted for Iran’s proposal not
to discuss the issue. It’s worth mentioning that
besides Armenia 47 other countries voted against the
resolution, as well. Thus, there were 70 for, 48
against and 55 abstained as a result of the voting.
