VARDAN OSKANIAN AND DANIEL FRIED DISCUSSED RA – US COOPERATION

RA FM Vardan Oskanian met with the U. S. Assistant Secretary of State
Daniel Fried within the frames of the Council of the OSCE Foreign
Ministers held in Brussels December 4-5.
According to the information DE FACTO got at the RA MFA Press Service,
in the course of the meeting the parties had discussed a wide spectrum
of issues referring to bilateral cooperation. The parties were in
lockstep over the fact that the proper level of the Parliamentary
elections’ organization and conduct would contribute to deepening RA –
U. S. relations.
Special consideration was given to the Karabakh talks. The
interlocutors also touched on the regional issues; in part, they
discussed the possibility of Armenia – Turkey relations’ settlement.
To note, U. S. Co-Chair of the OSCE Minsk group Matthew Bryza also
participated in the meeting.
