ARMENIAN PRESIDENT OFFERS CONDOLENCES OVER TURKMEN LEADER’S DEATH

Yerevan, 21 December: Armenian President Robert Kocharyan today sent
a condolence telegram to the government of Turkmenistan in connection
with the demise of the president of the country, Saparmyrat Nyyazow.

In the telegram, Robert Kocharyan noted that "we very much appreciate
the contribution of Saparmyrat Nyyazow in the strengthening and
development of Armenian-Turkmen relations", the press service of the
Armenian president told Mediamax today.
