NEW YEAR PARTY ORGANIZED BY REPRESENTATIVES OF WORLD OF SPORT ON
INITIATIVE OF CHAIRMAN OF NATIONAL OLYMPIC COMMITTEE OF ARMENIA

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 29, NOYAN TAPAN. A New Year evening of glorifying
representatives of the world of sport took place at the "Ojakh"
complex on December 28. Gagik Tsarukian, the Chairman of the National
Olympic Committee organized the event. More than 500 representatives
of the sphere took part in the event. First of all, works done by the
National Olympic Committee of Armenia were presented, then 9 deserving
people will be given memorial medals after 1st Armenian champion of
Olympic Games Hrant Shahinian. More than 30 sportsmen and trainers
having had the best results in the finishing tournament were given
monetary prizes.
