TRADE AND ART CENTERS TO BE CREATED FOR INVALIDS IN YEREVAN AND GYUMRI
YEREVAN, DECEMBER 29, NOYAN TAPAN. The "Pyunik" public organization
being involved in the invalids’ problems will implement starting from
late January, 2007, the program of "Creation of Trade and Art Centers
for Invalids in Yerevan and Gyumri." As organization Chairman Hakob
Abrahamian mentioned at the December 28 press conference, the goal of
the program is to secure creation of working places for more socially
unprotected invalids. About 150 invalids will be involved in the first
stage of the program. They will study 5 specialties: engraving on
stone and wood, pottery, needle-work and fancy-work. For
implementation of the program, the "Viva Cell" company will allocate
39.5 mln drams (about 108 thousand U.S. dollars), "Pyunik" will give
5.5. mln dollars, UN Development Programme – 2.5 mln drams.
