106 PEOPLE POISONED FROM DRINKING WATER IN APARAN
APARAN, JANUARY 12, NOYAN TAPAN. 106 residents of the city of Aparan
(Aragatsotn marz) were poisoned on January 11 because of drinking
water. NT was informed from the Information and PR Unit of the RA
Rescue Service that 20 persons were taken to hospital and 86 received
medical aid at their homes.
According to the State Hygienic and Epidemiological Inspection of the
RA Ministry of Health, sewage and drinking water were mixed as a
result of damaged water pipes in Aparan, and 16 people caught
dysentery.
Respective anti-epidemic measures were taken on the spot. There is no
danger of infection spread.
