A DELEGATION REPRESENTING WORLD VISION IN ANTELIAS

A delegation representing the World Vision visited Antelias and had an
audience with His Holiness Aram I. The discussion included issues and
projects related to the humanitarian action of the World Vision in general
and particularly here in Lebanon.

His Holiness appreciated the Christian work of the World Vision in its
educational, social and humanitarian aspects. He also welcomed the growing
partnership between the World Vision and the local churches. In this context
His Holiness reminded his visitors that "the mission of the church is one;
it is God’s mission. Hence, we must do it together. Supporting the local
churches in their witness is imperative, this is the ecumenical way of doing
mission".

The World Vision is an international Christian organization. Its
headquarters are in Monrovia, California, and it is engaged in different
humanitarian programs in different parts of the world and particularly in
Africa.
