/PanARMENIAN.Net/ OSCE member states should not permit a dead-end
situation in frozen conflicts in the Post-Soviet territory, today
stated new head of European Union, German Foreign Minister
Frank-Walter Steinmeier speaking in the OSCE Permanent Council. `We
call upon all sides to accept OSCE mediation mission and look at it as
a possibility. Where a readiness will be for constructivism in dialog,
the EU will give all kind of support,’ he stressed.
The minister underlined that the OSCE leadership under the
chairmanship of Spain holds to a position of giving high level
political profile by the organization and the EU is ready to cooperate
in that direction. He said that the OSCE must intensify dialog based
on universal values, norms and standards of organizations.
He also underscored that OSCE plays an important role in the European
integration process and takes actions for establishing a confidence
building model for other regions in the world. But member states must
work harder to reach security and stability through dialog. The
minister stressed that the EU and OSCE must work together in the
Central Asia and Kosovo.
