DPA LEADER: IF ARMENIAN OPPOSITION REPEATS MISTAKES OF 2003 AT COMING
ELECTIONS, IT WILL NOT WORTH PIN
Yerevan, January 25. ArmInfo. A force majeure situation will be
formed during the coming May parliamentary elections in Armenia,
the leader of the Democratic party of Armenia, Aram Sarkissyan,
told ArmInfo correspondent.
According to him, the situation in the Republic during elections may
become tense not by the opposition efforts but the pro-power forces,
a strict fight between which will cause the situation escalation. "The
fight between the pro-power forces will be too strict, which will
surely create a force majeure and a very dangerous situation in
the country. If the opposition repeats the mistakes of 2003 in this
situation, it will not worth a pin", A. Sarkissyan said.
Talking of 2008 Presidential elections, the DPA leader noted that
regardless of the opinion that the main struggle for this post will
be developed between the Defense Minister Serzh Sargssyan and the
Foreign Minister Vardan Oskanyan, this scenario has probably become
out of date. "I think, Robert Kocharyan has prepared a new, the third
scenario for Presidential elections", A. Sarkissyan said.
