SERVICE TARIFFS INCREASE BY 0.4% IN ARMENIA IN JANUARY
YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 2, NOYAN TAPAN. The 0.4% growth in tariffs of
services to the Armenian population in January 2007 was mainly
conditioned by the growth in tariffs of transport services (0.5%),
consumer (1.1%) and health care services (2.1%).
According to the RA National Statistical Service, there was a 0.1%
growth in tariffs of educational and public catering services.
There was a 0.1-1.8% decline in tariffs of housing-municipal services
(in connection with the 9.2% reduction of natural gas tariffs since
January 1, 2007), as well as tariffs of recreational services and
services of the cultural sphere, while tariffs of communication,
juridical and banking services remained at the level of the previous
month.
