TEN DAYS EVENTS DEDICATED TO 28th ANNIVERSARY OF IRI REVOLUTION STARTS
WITH OPENING OF IRANIAN PAINTER’S EXHIBITION IN YEREVAN
YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 1, NOYAN TAPAN – ARMENIANS TODAY. The ten days of
events dedicated to the 28th anniversary of the revolution of the
Islamic Republic of Iran started on February 1 at the Museum of
People’s Art with opening in Yerevan an exhibition of Iranian painter
Amir Hossein Aghamir’s works.
Opening the exhibition, Reza Atufi, the IRI Embassy’s Cultural Advisor
mentioned that the Islamic Republic of Iran is 28 years old. 28 years
ago the Iranian people ruined after 10-day struggle the exploiters’
and oppressor’ usurpative power and keeps and develops the
achievements and reforms of the revolution till now. He is sure that
the Iranian revolution is the most democratic revolution in the world.
Congratulating those present, Hasmik Poghosian, the RA Minister of
Culture and Youth Issues mentioned that for every people its
independence has a special importance. The Iranian people conquered
with dignity its freedom 28 years ago and today builds a powerful and
independent country. In the words of Alireza Haghighian, the IRI
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Armenia, the Iranian
people’s victory made many countries angry. They attempted with all
means to damage and put out the fire of revolution. But the Iranian
people overcame it with the help of national and religious minorities
living in the country and built its independent state.
It was also mentioned that the cooperation started between Armenia and
Iran after the independence develops year by year, widening the
cooperation ways, and now the Armenian-Iranian friendship deepened
more, involving almost all the spheres of cooperation.
