HRAYR KARAPETIAN: ARFD WILL BE HARDLY ABLE TO USE BY 100% PAID
BROADCAST OF PREELECTION CAMPAIGN
YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 9, NOYAN TAPAN. ARFD considers that according
to the Electoral Code, equal conditions of preelection campaign
should be created for all political forces taking part in
the May 12 parliamentary elections. TV companies should also
create equal conditions for them. Hrayr Karapetian, RA National
Assembly ARFD faction leader, reported this at the February 9 press
briefing. Touching upon already published prices for paid broadcast on
TV for carrying out preelection campaign, in particular, on Public
Television 80 thousand drams (nearly 222 USD), on AR TV company
100 thousand drams, the MP said that "certainly, the possibilities
will not be equal, but the conditions were given equally." "Popular
parties will have great possibilities to receive donations, to form the
preelection budget," H.Karapetian said. In his opinion, ARFD will be
hardly able to use by 100% paid broadcast especially in consideration
of its financial abilities.
