FINANCIAL TIMES: TURKISH FOREIGN MINISTER’S WASHINGTON MEETINGS GAVE
NO RESULTS
ANKARA, FEBRUARY 9, NOYAN TAPAN – ARMENIANS TODAY. Turkish Foreign
Minister Abdullah Gul’s Washington meetings gave no results. The
Financial Times British newspaper made such a commentary.
According to the Milliyet Turkish daily, the British newspaper
mentioned that Turkish-American relations can get worse for even more
because of developments in Iraq and resolution on recognition of the
Armenian Genocide. "Problems connected with Iraq, as well as Congress’
step of officially recognizing slaughters of Armenians in the Ottoman
Empire as a genocide can generate a new wave of anti-American moods in
Turkey," the Financial Times reported.
