ARMENIANS DID NOT RECEIVE A "GRAMMY"

On February 11 the annual music award-giving ceremony "Grammy" took
place in Los Angeles. For Armenians, this ceremony was noteworthy
by the fact that the joint CD of duduk-player Jivan Gasparyan and
tar-player from Iran Husein Alizade was nominated in the category
"Music of the peoples of the world".
Nevertheless, the CD did not get an award.
Another Armenian band nominated was "System of a Down", in the category
"Best hard rock performance".
They too were left without an award.
Let us remind you that last year the American-Armenian musicians won a
"Grammy" in that very category.
