FMS OF RUSSIA POSITIVELY TREATS PROSPECT OF DOUBLE CITIZENSHIP OF ARMENIANS OF RUSSIA

Moscow, February 13. ArmInfo. The Federal Migration Service of Russia
positively treats the prospect of double citizenship of the Armenians
being the citizens of RF, deputy Head of the Federal Migration Service
of Russia, Vyacheslav Postavnin, told ArmInfo in Moscow.

He said if this issue is resolved at a political level, the FMS
will develop an implement the relevant standards. "It will not be
difficult to assure it technically", V. Postavnin said. To remind,
a possibility of giving a double citizenship to all the Armenians is
presently discussed in the RA Parliament, though, the persons with
double citizenship have no right to be elected as Presidents and RA
Parliament deputies. About 2 mln Armenians presently live in Russia.
