On February 13, the writers Alvard Petrosyan and Marine Petrosyan
disputed on the Armenian-Turkish relationship. They both claim that
the assassination of Hrant Dink once more made us focus on Polis and
the Armenians living in Turkey as we have already forgotten about them.

In Marine Petrosyan’s words, "the Armenian-Turkish relations have at
least alternative after Dink’s murder".

"Anti-Turkish" upbringing must be eliminated in our society and the
vice versa; Turks must eliminate "anti-Armenian" preaching.

"The EU integration and freedom will contribute to it.

It is impossible to return Polis via landownership", she said.

Alvard Petrosyan, member of the ARF Dashnaktsutyun holds conservative
opinion on the issue. In her opinion, the rallies held during Dink’s
funeral were initiated and ordered by the Turkish authorities and
when the Turks shouted "we are all Armenians" they didn’t mean they
are really Armenians.

Armenians are a unique nation as we are concerned over our neighbors’
well-being. We have even opened the frontier and yet they consider
it little", noted Alvard Petrosyan.

Marine Petrosyan advised Alvard Petrosyan to "go to Turkey and get
in touch with the people" to treat the Armenian-Turkish relation
more liberally.
