President Robert Kocharyan received today the delegation headed by
French Minister-Delegate for Regional Development Christian Estrosi.
The parties noted with appreciation that the Year of Armenia in France
proceeds with great success, and it has really turned into the fest of
Armenian and French peoples. The political contacts got rather active
in the framework of the Year.
The interlocutors exchanged views on issues related to territorial
administration and the possibilities of cooperation in this sphere.
Noting that the models of administration are much alike in Armenia and
France, since the French Constitution served as a model for the
Armenian Constitution, Robert Kocharyan said Armenia has also adopted
the policy of decentralization of power, and the French experience of
territorial administration is very useful for us.
