ARMENIAN NGO TO MONITOR MAY PARLIAMENT ELECTION

Yerevan, 6 March: The Choice is Yours NGO, which will send its
observers to all the polling stations during the parliamentary election
of 12 May, "does not have political goals".
NGO head Harutyun Hambardzumyan said this in the Friday press club
today. He recalled that the observers have no right to dispute
registered violations in court. "We do not have political goals,
we will be just publishing registered violations, and it is up to
political parties to struggle for their votes," Hambardzumyan said.
The Choice is Yours will prepare video materials which will inform
the people that all the unlawful actions during the election are
punishable under the Criminal Code.
The observation mission of The Choice is Yours organization is realized
with the financial assistance of the US Agency for International
Development (USAID).
