LOCAL OBSERVER PRAISES THE ELECTION CODE

"I hope that the elections will not run like the constitutional
referendum," Harutiun Hambarzumyan, chairman of It’s Your Choice NGO,
said. He did not say why they are so optimistic. He only said that
they are content with the amendments in the Election Code. "If in
the past only those who gave bribes were punished, now those who
take bribes are also subject for punishment," he said. Hambarzumyan
also praised the provision of the Election Code which says that the
committee heads that would hinder the activities of the observers,
trustees or reporters are subject for responsibility.
