NEWLY APPOINTED ISRAELI AMBASSADOR TO ARMENIA: NECESSITY OF
ARMENIAN-ISRAELI COOPERATION MATURED LONG AGO

YEREVAN, MARCH 23, NOYAN TAPAN. The necessity of efficient
Armenian-Israeli cooperation matured long ago and there is much to be
done in bilateral relations. The newly appointed Amabassador
Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Israel to Armenia Ehud Gol
(residence – Jerusalem) stated this in Yerevan during the March 22
meeting with Secretary of the National Security Council under the RA
president, the RA minister of defence Serge Sargsian. Envoy of Israel
in Armenia Mei Amin was present at the meeting. According to a press
release submitted to NT by spokeman of the defence minister, it was
noted that the Armenian and Jewish peoples have many similiarities
which is a good basis for development of bilateral relations. The
sides exchanged opinions about regional problems, as well as issues
related to settlement of Israeli-Palestinian and Nagorno Karabakh
conflicts.
