IRANIAN AMBASSADOR: ARMENIAN-IRANIAN RELATIONS DEVELOPED MOST ACTIVELY
DURING ANDRANIK MAERGARIAN’S BEING PRIME MINISTER
YEREVAN, MARCH 26, NOYAN TAPAN. The Iranian president Mahmud
Ahmadinejad and the Iranian ambassador to Armenia Alireza Haghighian
sent telegrams of condolence to the RA president Robert Kocharian and
the Armenian people in connection with the death of the RA prime
minister Andranik Margarian. NT was informed about it from the PR
Department of the Iranian embassy in Armenia. "We express our
condolences in connection with the death of the prime minister
Andranik Margarian to the friendly Armenian people and government, as
well as to the family of A. Margarian, conveying a deep grief over the
untimely loss of such a prominent figure who played an important role
in the development of the Republic of Armenia," the telegram of the
Iranian ambassdor reads. The ambassdor noted that friendly relations
between Iran and Armenia developed most actively during A. Margarian’s
being the prime minister of Armenia. "Expressing condolence once again
in connection with the death of the prime minister Andranik Margarian,
I entreat the Most High for eternal rest of the soul of the deceased,"
is said in the telegram of Alireza Hghighian.
