PARLIAMENTARIAN ELECTION: HEADQUARTERS OF CIS OBSERVATION MISSION OPENED IN YEREVAN

/PanARMENIAN.Net/ The CIS observation mission for the May 12
parliamentarian elections will include at least 150 members. During
the preliminary stage 29 observers from the long-term mission will
work in Armenia, chief-coordinator of CIS observation mission, Sec.
Gen. of CIS Executive Committee Vladimir Rushaylo stated in Yerevan
April 5 after having met with CEC (Central Electoral Commission)
head Garegin Azaryan.

According to Vladimir Rushaylo, the headquarters of the observation
mission opened on April 4 in Yerevan, "besides a certain work is
being done for opening 4 more headquarters in regions". He added
that observers are going to visit 41 electoral districts and up to
60 percent of electoral constituencies.

The Sec. Gen. of CIS Executive Committee said during gathering
the observation mission experts took into account the number of
political divisions, number of candidates and peculiarities of
Armenian elections.

Nine CIS countries confirmed their wish to participate in observation
mission during parliamentarian elections of Armenia, IA Regnum reports.
