SECOND INTERNATIONAL FORUM FOR MARKET AND RIGHT OF WINE INDUSTRY PRODUCTS UNDER WAY IN ARMENIA

YEREVAN, April 27. /ARKA/. The second two-day International Forum on
Market and Law is under way in Yerevan. President of the Association
of Armenian Winemakers Avag Haroutunyan reported at the opening of the
forum that it is aimed at strengthening a dialogue and cooperation
among wine industries of South Caucasus by exchanging information
and experience.

"Five years have passed since the first international forum. Serious
and coordination changes have occurred in the economic, technical,
and legal conditions of the market. Therefore, the forum will try
to resolve existing problems and establish a link among post-soviet
countries," he said.

Haroutunyan said that the idea of the Forum came from the necessity
to introduce international expertise on global market tends of
the industry in the context of EU and WTO requirements by inviting
experts from Germany, Italy, France, Israel, Russia, Ukraine, Moldova,
and Georgia.

"Eventually the Forum will represent an effort towards formation of a
common market in South Caucasus with participation of all interested
countries, including those in political and ethnical tension with
their neighbors," Haroutunyan reported.

The Forum is organized on the initiative of the Association of Armenian
Winemakers, ProSME, CARD and GTZ Project "Private sector development
in Georgia. The forum participants are officials of Armenia, Georgia,
and representatives of international organizations.
