NEARLY 8 THOUSAND POLICEMEN TO BE INVOLVED IN OBSERVATION OF PUBLIC ORDER ON MAY 12

YEREVAN, MAY 2, NOYAN TAPAN. At the May 2 working meeting with
RA President Robert Kocharian Head of RA Police Hayk Haroutiunian
reported about the work done by Police in the direction of ensuring
normal process of elections.
The President charged him to ensure checking of electoral rolls and
providing them to electoral commissions and polling stations in the
term established by the law. The Head of Police said that much work
has been done in this direction and the final lists will be ready in
the term established by the law.
R. Kocharian also instructed him to ensure proper service on
the day of elections in the direction of observation of public
order. H. Haroutiunian said that nearly 8 thousand policemen will be
involved in activities on observation of public order.
The Head of Police also presented the criminal situation in the
country and the work done in the direction of disclosing cases having
public resonance.
