ROBERT KOCHARIAN: "WE HAVE HAD NO SUCH VICTORY IN INDEPENDENT ARMENIA"

YEREVAN, MAY 3, NOYAN TAPAN. We have had no such a victory in
independent Armenia, and it can be an inspiring example for many
people. RA President Robert Kocharian mentioned about it on May 2,
receiving Armenian weight-lifters and their trainers returned with
a victory from the Europe championship of weight-lifting taken place
in Strasbourg. The President congratulated the weight-lifters’ team
on the occasion of the brilliant victory, mentioning with special
pride and surprise the female weight-lifters’ performances.

According to the information submitted to Noyan Tapan by the RA
President’s Press Office, it was at the same time mentioned that there
is still much to do together with the victory: the Olympic games are
soon, and the world championship will take place in September for
which they must also seriously prepare.
