/PanARMENIAN.Net/ The RA Central Election Commission (CEC) doesn’t
possess any information on Yerevan’s veto on arrival of Turkish
observers in Armenia, CEC chairman Garegin Azaryan told a news
conference in Yerevan.

`The list of foreign observers presented to the CEC by the OSCE
Yerevan Office has been accredited. All observers registered in the
CEC have already received certificates and can proceed to their
mission. We have no other data,’ he said.

Earlier, Ms. Urdur Gunnarsdottir, the spokesperson for the OSCE/ODIHR
told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter that invitations to observe the
Armenian parliamentary election were sent to 44 states including
Turkey. `The Armenian authorities rejected presence of Turkish
observers. However, they have not furnished an explanation yet,’ she
said.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
