OPPOSITION CONDEMNS ARREST OF EX-MINISTER OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS

Opposition political parties held a joint discussion today to discuss
the arrest of Alexander Arzumanyan, ex-minister of foreign affairs
of Armenia. Organized by Aram Karapetyan, New Times party leader,
the meeting was attended by National Unity, Motherland and Honor,
National Self-Determination Union, National Democratic Union, Republic,
Jarangutiun, Strong Motherland parties as well as Impeachment alliance
and Civil Disobedience movement.

The participants condemned the arrest of Alexander Arzumanyan and
rendered their readiness to engage in counter-actions. Some suggested
to set up a committee for protection of political prisoners.
