Russian And Armenian Prime Ministers Send Congratulatory Messages To

RUSSIAN AND ARMENIAN PRIME MINISTERS SEND CONGRATULATORY MESSAGES TO EACH OTHER ON OCCASION OF VICTORY DAY

YEREVAN, MAY 9, NOYAN TAPAN. The Armenian prime minister Serge Sargsian
and the Russian prime minister Mikhail Fradkov sent congratulatory
messages to each other on the occasion of Victory Day, NT was informed
from the RA Government Information and PR Department.

In the congratulatory message sent to M. Fradkov, Serge Sargsian in
particular noted: "This really national holiday is celebrated with
great honor both in Armenia and Russia. It is hard to overestimate
the role and significance of the great victory which was gained
with joint efforts of our fathers and grandfathers, who waged a
self-devoted struggle against the common enemy, defended the native
land and secured peaceful future for generations to come."

"The combat labor of our veterans on battlefields of that war and
feats of those serving in the rear rescued peoples of Europe and the
world from slavery, securing their right for peaceful and creative
future. Grateful mankind has to remember this for ever," the message
of M. Fradkov says. The Russian prime minister expressed a hope
that the fiendly Armenian-Russian relations, whose history has many
magnificent pages, will strengthen even more in the name of security
and stability of the two countries and the Caucasus.
