OSCE Chairman in Office Discusses NK Conflict with MG Cochairmen

OSCE CHAIRMAN-IN-OFFICE DISCUSSES KARABAKH CONFLICT
WITH MINSK GROUP COCHAIRMEN

BAKU, MAY 11, ARMENPRESS: The OSCE
chairman-in-Office Miguel Angel Moratinos, who is the
foreign minister of Spain, met yesterday in Madrid
with cochairmen of the OSCE Minsk Group from Russia,
France and the USA to discuss ways for resolution of
the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
Daniel Soto, a spokesman for Spanish foreign
ministry, was quoted by Azerbaijani APA news agency as
saying that the meeting was held in the premises of
Spain’s foreign ministry.
Moratinos was quoted as saying that he will do his
best to help resolve the long-running
Armenian-Azerbaijani dispute.
"The three Co-Chairs have worked extremely hard and
in close co-operation to bring the sides closer
together," Moratinos was quoted as saying.
"I urge Armenia and Azerbaijan to do all that is in
their power, in this political context, to take the
necessary steps in order to reach a solution to this
conflict, which has lasted so long. I intend to make
absolutely clear my full support for the Co-Chairs on
the occasion of my forthcoming visit to Baku and
Yerevan".
Ambassador Andrzej Kasprzyk of Poland, the
Chairman-in-Office’s personal representative for this
conflict, also attended the meeting.
