Rushailo: Elections Start in Time, Held in Organized Way

SERGEI RUSHAILO: "PARLIAMENTARY ELECTIONS IN ARMENIA START IN TIME, ARE
HELD IN ORGANIZED WAY AND AS OF THIS MOMENT, OUR IMPRESSIONS ARE
POSITIVE"

YEREVAN, MAY 12, NOYAN TAPAN. Sergei Rushailo, the head of the CIS
monitoring mission was present at polling station No9/11, at S.
Spandarian secondary school No24 where the President and Prime Minister
of Armenia also made their choice. Responding the journalist’s question
what kind of impressions he has concerning holding the parliamentary
elections, S. Rushailo mentioned that the May 12 parliamentary
elections in Armenia started in time, are held in an organized way and,
as of this moment, "our impression is positive."

S. Rushailo also stated results of the elections will be summed up at
the end of the day after what they will hold a consultation with
coordinators of the CIS countries. And tomorrow morning, according to
the monitoring mission head, they will hold a press conference at about
10:00 where results and estimations of the monitoring group concerning
the present elections will be expressed.

Sergei Rushailo also mentioned that their 280 observers work at all the
41 electoral districts of Armenia.
