TASKS OF COOPERATIVE AIM’2007 EXERCISE ACCOMPLISHED

Major General Armen Baburjan, Chief of the Directorate of
Communications and Automated Process-Control System of the Armenian
Armed Forces, pronounced the tasks and objectives of Cooperative
Aim’2007 exercise accomplished.

According to Baburjan, Armenian communications men passed 41 tests in
Germany and 14 in Armenia. "We are convinced that our accomplishments
will be equally effective in Germany and Armenia," he said.

Brigadier General Denis L. Way, Commander of the 5th Signals Command
of the US Army, praised the Armenians for their ability to operate in
difficult conditions and for their adaptation skills. "Armenian
communications men will be able to continue cooperating with us at
the level adequate for standards of the Cooperative Aim’2007 of the
European Command," he said.

Cooperative Aim’2007m within the framework of the Partnership for
Peace NATO’s Programm is taking place simultaneously in Germany and
Armenia. One hundred and thirty communications men from Croatia,
France, Russia, Georgia, and United States participate in the phase
of the exercise run in Armenia.
