ARMENIA REGISTERS PROGRESS IN MEETING COMMITMENTS
`Your report does not say if the elections were free,
fair and transparent,’ a reporter asked Tone Tinsgord,
vice chair of OSCE Parliamentary Assembly. Tinsgord
said the international observers assessed the
elections exclusively in the context of Armenia’s
commitments to OSCE and Council of Europe. The chair
said they did not have a task to use the
abovementioned terminology.
Speaking about the quality of elections in terms of
meeting the commitments, the international observers
said Armenia has registered `great progress.’ The
international observers repeatedly stated that during
the press conference.
