ANNUAL INTERNATIONAL MEETING OF BANKING EXPERTS HELD IN YEREVAN

YEREVAN, MAY 15, NOYAN TAPAN. The annual meeting of technical
cooperation and training coordinators from the national/central banks
of G-10, Austria, International Monetary Fund (IMF), European Central
Bank (ECB), as well as Central and Eastern Europe and CIS countries
took place in Yerevan on May 14-15.
According to the Central Bank of Armenia (CBA) press service, it
is for the first time that this annual meeting is held outside
Switzerland. During the May 15 meeting of coordinators and CBA
management, the history and development of the CBA, its tasks and
prospects of its further development were presenteed. The guests were
informed about the supervisory, monetary-credit and financial policies
of the CBA, after which issues related to technical assistance programs
and future educational and training programs were discussed.
